What was adopted
The Society has adopted the Corpus Updates Integration Framework v1.0. The Framework establishes an institutional event taxonomy, a permanent update-category taxonomy, a canonical metadata standard, generation and immutability rules, an editorial timeline framework, and a canonical event lifecycle.
Why it matters
Institutional history is no longer scattered across changelogs, workflow docs, and memory files. Every permanent event — governance adoption, collection establishment, research corpus, volume publication, edition release, authority ingestion, correction — becomes a Corpus Update, and every downstream surface reads from that stream.
What it governs
The Framework governs how institutional events are recorded, classified, and published. It does not modify the existing Corpus Updates page or its data model; it operationalizes both under a permanent taxonomy and metadata standard.
What happens next
The historical backfill of prior institutional milestones — governance, canonical architecture, operationalization, collection, and master research corpus — is published as Corpus Updates CU-2026-0001 through CU-2026-0005. Future institutional events emit Corpus Update drafts through the existing editorial workflow rather than through a parallel system.
